HEALTH RECOMMENDATIONS

I am in the practice – of practice and consistency – aiming to evolve and feel a sense of growth and balance in all that I do. My goal here is to “normalize wellness”. As I learn and I like things, I will update my recommendations and share what I know.

This information is intended to provide guidance in adding nutritional benefits to those who already strive to eat a balanced diet but might fall short on micronutrients due to life logistics. I hope I can help you or inspire you to your best wellness state.  If you have a specific condition, please consult your physician.

Just like in food, quality plays a big part in supplements. Fullscript is my trusted source. It is very easy to create your account and browse through all my plans and the store at large in case there is something else you need.

GENERAL MESSAGE The dosages for each supplement are on the bottles. I recommend taking the supplements with food unless stated otherwise. I encourage you to create a routine for your supplements around your meals and stick to it! Over a period of weeks, you should feel the difference in your energy and well-being.

  • On the daily – Health & Immune Support for All

It is hard to get the nutrition we all need in a day. For this reason, I am a firm believer in adding an insurance policy to your plate! With a balanced diet, and a solid combination of high-quality supplements, you should have a comprehensive nutritional regime and overall support for your immune system.

Please follow the instructions of each supplement and create a routine that fits your day. I recommend taking all of them with food, except the Magnesium, which I take 1 hour before bed.

With this mix, you have support for your gut, brain, bones, heart, muscles, and general health!

  • Basic Women's Health for 35+

As you gracefully age, your body needs aditionnal support to keep you young and energetic. With this plan, you not only get a complete multivitamin designed for women, but you will also be supporting your gut, brain, joints, muscles, and skin.

  • Start from the Gut

Here are my favorite probiotic and prebiotic supplements of all time. I recommend them to all my patients as the basis for good gut health. All probiotics are not created equal and most don’t actually work! These products are backed by science and will improve the diversity and health of your microbiome, which is the powerhouse of your body. A healthy gut impacts your hormones, immune system, skin, and mood making the health of your microbiome a top priority.

Please follow the titration schedules on the bottles and let me know if you have any questions. If you know you have SIBO, please consult with your healthcare practitioner for the right time to add the pre-biotic. The probiotic is tolerated by most regardless of their condition.

  • Herbal Pantry Staples for Colds

Gan Mao Ling is very effective if you start taking it IMMEDIATELY as you start thinking about the fact that you might be getting a cold. It is very effective if taken early on and consistently.

Yin Qiao acts similar to Gan Mao Ling, but it is more specific when what you feel is a strong sore throat.

Minor Buplerum is stronger. This one can also be taken as a preventative. It will be effective as well if you take it when you are already sick with a terrible cold that has your ears clogged, and you are having chills and fever. I don't leave home without it! It is very helpful in ear infections and the flu.

Either of these can be taken for a few days as a preventative measure if you are going to travel.

  • My Favorite Collagen

≈CollaGEN is formulated to nutritionally support cartilage, tendons, ligaments, fascia and skin.  This collagen is very easily added to your coffe, smoothie, or any drink of your choice and works wonders!

  • Feeling a sore throat?

Your throat is starting to hurt/burn…you feel that horrific “cold” coming…IMMEDIATELY start these two supplements as directed on the bottle. Keep these handy in your pantry and always take them with you when you travel!

You can mix the botanicals and the herbal formula by taking them 3 hours apart from each other.

  • Strong and Steady Prenatal Regime

Ready to have a baby... or already pregnant? These are basics that I believe will keep you and your baby healthy and strong!

  • Hormone Balance and Support

If you feel that your hormones are a bit out of sorts, you have been exposed to one too many toxins, antibiotics, excess amount of stress… this is a good plan to follow to re-align your health.

  • Postpartum Support

I strongly believe in taking the prenatal for nine months to a year after stopping breastfeeding. Your body really needs to get back to baseline after such a ride!

Some patients dislike the prenatal itself, so I recommend a quality multivitamin, gut support, and a few additional key micronutrients.

  • Very Complete Bio-aval Multi

These are the only supplements I prescribe outside of Fullscript. I’m an affiliate and really like this new brand. Try out the Bio-avail Multi if you are interested in an all-encompassing multivitamin and mineral supplement.

Formulated by Chris Kresser, I am confident that the quality and bioavailability of the entire supplement line won't disappoint! To explore his offering, follow this link for a 15% discount on your first order.

  • Immune Support for Kids

Implementing essential fatty acids, a solid multivitamin, gut support, and having a readily available immune booster in case of trouble, is a no brainer when it comes to supporting your kid’s health.

This is my plan to boost your kid's immune resilience, gut, and brain health. You will also find a chewable Magnesium that helps with anxiety and sleep disturbances. Most of us don’t get enough Magnesium in our diet, and it is an essential mineral for all!

  • LMNT: Daily electrolyte support

    Proper hydration must include electrolytes!

Adding electrolytes to your water sharpens your mind, gives you an energy boost, provides a sense of wellbeing, and supports the immune system.

LMNT is perfect way to get them. They are made with good ingredients and come in delicious flavors. My personal favorites are Raspberry, Orange, and Citrus. I start my day with a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar (to kickstart my digestion) + a pack of LMNT in a big glass of water. I often add a second packet to a big water bottle after a workout, or as a “pick me up” in the afternoon!

  • Tools for Grounding

Grounding consists of putting your body in harmony with the earth’s energy. The earth provides electrons which promote health and wellness for the body.  Learn more about ways that one can “ground”  and connect to the earth electrons through this link. I personally use the portable earthing mat and love it!

In My Travel Bag

When I travel, and also at home, I carry my supplements in this simple but very helpful pill organizer. I also take with me collagen sticks and the viracid and herbs on every trip.

Since I use one table spoon of organic apple cider vinegar + a bag of LMNT every morning in a big glass of water, I carry this flask with the vinegar in my purse and it goes perfectly through airport security.

For healthy snacking, I mix chocolate chips with organic macadamias and organic walnuts in a small bag, and if I’m in a bind and hungry, this snack always hits the spot!

I also love this keto hazelnut cups. Note that both these options are great for sustained energy and avoid a sugar spike!

Lastly, not in my carry on, but for travel and at home, I always have this “magic” ointment in case of a sprained ankle, back ache, or inflammation in general due to small injuries.
